This last messenger upgrade really has my head spinning. When I was
upgrading the mess(enger) directions instructed me to close any open
messenger. I tried to exit my existing messenger and was told I couldn't
close it if outlook, express, etc was open. No programs were open. Ok....
so ctrl-alt-del and I shut the existing messenger. I installed the new
mess(enger). This seemed to easy..... ah, here we go.... now I have 2
messengers opening... even better I have 3 messengers under "programs". 3
for the price of one. But then all of a sudden one of them disappeared.....
now it was only 2 for the price of one. I almost felt cheated. I uncheck
my "enable messenger when opening Microsoft Outlook" and my older version
didn't open any more.... hurray.... less confusion. Now I only have one
active messenger, however, I keep getting messages that I am being signed
out because I am signing in from somewhere else. What in the world is going
on.....I never left the room! I wonder if Microsoft is going to issue
MSCE/MSCA/MSCM for people that can make their upgrade work. In all honesty,
I think the same QC team that worked on messenger must have worked on
Microsoft Streets & Trips. I have always been a huge Microsoft fan...even
visited the Microsoft campus in Redmond...so I'm not to
worried.......................................not yet.
