problem with e-mail attachments

I'm running windows xp on a heward packard pc and i'm
running outlook express for my e-mail. As of a week ago i
cant open any attachments that come with my e-mails. I do
NOT know what is going on. I thought the problem was with
my McAfee Virus scan but I removed it from my computer
and I still am having this problem. Can you help me

PS- THe message I get says: OE removed access due to
unsafe attachments in your computer. I know there is no
problem with viruses causing this. It's something else.

Tools>Options>Security - uncheck 'Do not allow attachments...'. That is =
the default setting for SP1.
