system slow down

has anyone had trouble with any of the new auto updates slowing your system
wayyyyyyyyyyy down??? I have restored back to just be for update Q811493
and my system speed comes back as it should be .... anyone know why this may
be slowing my system down?? I have a Gateway700xl P-4 2.MHz 1024meg ram

update Q817287 & Q811493 : Critical Update . and my system speed comes back
as it should be
