even administrator login, i can't rename XP prof computer name.
how should i do?
is it related to LAN DNS?

Right-mouse click on "My Computer, choose Properties, Computer Name tab,
Change. This will allow you to change the computer name and workgroup/domain
name (only if you are on a LAN) if needed.
