can someone tell me the tcp and udp ports for msn
messenger? I use the netgear wireless router mr314 and
don't know how to configure the port in order to do video
conference with other people over the Internet.

Greetings Raymond,

In order to use voice/video in Messenger through a router, your router will need to support
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). As far as I know, the MR314 does not have UPnP support and
as such, you won't be able to use voice/video with just Messenger. You may be able to get
around the non-UPnP problem by using ENat for Messenger:
http://www.easyfp.com/msn-messenger-directtalk

For interest however, the ports used by voice/video conversations in Messenger are 5004
through 65535 UDP.
