XP Slowed After Patch

YES!! I can't be sure, but I think it had something to
do with an auto update involving Q817287: Critical Update
(Catalog Database Corruption in Microsoft Windows). I've
written microsoft support about this. Let me know if you
find a resolution, and I shall do the same.

The first time I tried to send this my system locked, what a surprise!!

Perhaps with the new upgrade it should now be known as Win98 Redux.

At times my computer which, until a few weeks ago, was very fast/powerful, is slowing to a crawl, not allowing me to use apps, wont' respond to CTRL ALT DEL so I'm having reboot about five times a day.

I belong to a western gunfighter's assosication, for our next reenactment we're lookin for a "volunteer" for a hanging. I think somebody at MS ought to be a real appropriate candidate.

Well, like the others, I will continue to troubleshoot - or go LINUX
