Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I can't find
anything about Microsoft Netmeeting in the microsoft.public.windowsxp
groups.
I'm trying to download Netmeeting to use with Windows XP, but none of
the downloads on the Microsoft pages seem to be suitable for Windows
XP. I just downloaded one anyway, and the automatic installer said,
"This cannot be installed on this version of Windows". I went to
C:/Program Files/NetMeeting and tried to run the CB32.exe file. It
seemed to run all right, and I now have a shortcut to NetMeeting on my
desktop. I've not actually tried to use it yet, though, to talk to
anyone, but it seems to give an all right film of me on my webcam.
Can anyone tell me
(a) whether this will work
(b) if it's possible to download NetMeeting for XP and, if so, where
(c) or is there a different program for XP, not NetMeeting at all?
Thanks,
Patrick

Greetings,
a) It will work, and so will the shortcut
b) No, because it's built-in to Windows XP
c) You can use Windows Messenger for some of the Netmeeting feautres, but it's not exactly
the same.

Hey, thanks very much for the information. I didn't realise
NetMeeting was already in there.
Thanks again,
Patrick
