Please forgive me if you've already had this, but my original 2 posts were
both said to be deleted from the server?
I'm running XP Home and yesterday had notification from Microsoft of another
security update. I delayed installing it until this morning, but ever since
doing so, I found a very strange problem. When using my mouse in IE or OE it
causes a white noise sound, especially noticeable when scrolling, but also
when clicking. I thought this was my mouse, but swapping to another one and
the same problem.
So then, realising that this corresponded with installing the security
update, I decided to uninstall it using System Restore. Having uninstalled
it, everything is fine again. Nothing else was installed since the update so
nothing else has been set back and, as I said, this was happening only when
using Internet Explorer and Outlook Express (both v6) which the security
update related to.
This is weird ... so does someone else have this?
