Hi all,

I am suddenly unable to launch Word 2000. I receive the
following message :

WinWord.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point could not be located in the
dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL

I did find this message in the MS Knowledge Base
(Q142606). It mentions a problem with Windows 98/NT and
another program.
However, I am running Windows XP Home Edition delivred on
a Toshiba Satellite 2400 portable (P4 1.7Ghz, 256 Mb Mem,
Office 2000, Norton Antivirus 2003 Pro running).

I tried an Office 2000 reinstall, to no avail.

Questions :
What might be the problem?
What application to open the Kernel32.dll file with?
How to repair the potentially corrupted Kernel file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million
in advance.

I'd uninstall the whole office shebang, reboot, and reinstall the
applications.
