hi there,
after much searching and lurking I have found a solution for my
videoproblem with messenger:
http://messenger.msn.com/support/webcam.asp

Now that problem is out of the way.
BUT (of course there's a but) BUT no sound, no file-transfer.
Has anybody got a solution?

I have:
- Windows Messenger and MSN messenger (latest versions)
- webcam for MSN Messener

- Win XP Pro (all updates, servicepacks and patches installed)
XP's Internet Connection Firewall disabled
- E-tech router (not UPNP) (latest firmware)
all PC's obtain a variable IP and DNS automaticly
as security messure)
- AlcaTel SpeedTough Home ADSL MoDem (latest firmware)

Any advice?

Regards,
Paul Oosten

Greetings Paul,

Unfortunately this is one of the few solutions if you don't have UPnP capability in your
router.

The only other solution is to use ENat:
