View Full Version : HELP: Opening Explorer in Same Place

Hi Group,

I have looked at the Honeycutt "Registry Guide" and on-line but did not find
an answer to my question. When I use the start/right click/explore
function, explorer always opens at the start folder under the administrator
meta folder. I would like to have explorer open to a big folder on my D;
drive where I keep all of my music files. Is there a tweak for this?

Hi Dave,

When you right-click the start button and choose explore, you are telling
the system to explore starting from this point. What you need to do is to
create a shortcut to Windows Explorer indicating a different starting point.
