View Full Version : Adjusting volume control causes internal speaker to beep

I have developed a new problem which for the life of me I cannot resolve.
Normally, when i adjust the volume (using volume icon in taskbar), i hear it
'ding' from my speakers after i have adjusted the volume level. However, now
when i adjust the volume, rather than coming from the speakers, the beep
comes from the internal PC speaker. Obviously very annoying as several other
system sounds (beeps) also cause the internal speakler to beep instead of
the the external speakers. I hope you can understand the problem and tell me
how to resolve. I have tried re-installing sound card and drivers without
success. I'm sure its a simple problem, but please can someone tell me how
to sort it out?????

Many TIA

Several older apps make that bug appear. TweakUI, Neromix, and others. Upgrade
if possible.
