hi there
i have uPnP enabled router (linksys befsx41). my computer
is not directly connected to it, but on switch, which is
then connected to router.
sendeing and recieving files work without problem. and if
this works, without any ports opened, why doesn't then
vioce and video work? uPnP is also enabled on my computer.
msn messenger version 5, latest firmware of router.
thanks for answer!

Greetings Gregor,
Have you tried using Windows Messenger 4.x instead of MSN Messenger 5 (yes, there is a
difference).

Hi Gregor,
You don't have the Internet Connection Firewall engaged or anything like that do you? To
verify this, click Start, then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click
Network and Internet connections then click Network Connections. Right click your
network/internet connection, then click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that
the Internet Connection Firewall is unchecked.
