I'm running XP Pro and Office XP Pro and Windows
Messenger 4.7. The problem is one user uses Messenger
but when I log on (Administrator) her messenger icon is
on and I have to manually sign out for her. I do not
use messenger so how do I make it not sign on when my
user is logged on?

Go to the Control Pannel, select Users. Click your account and select
"Change your passport account" to make sure your Administrator account isn't
associated with her passport account.

Hope this helps,

** Remove the "_NOSPAM" tag in to contact me by email.

Hi Eddie,
Try this,
Next time you log on, Open messenger, go to the General tab, and untick auto
sign in when conencted to the internet, and also on the Privacy tab, just to
make sure, tick the Option third from bottom that says Always ask me for my
passport...........

Greetings Eddie,
After you sign into your Administrator account, click the Start Button, then click the
Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and
then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click
'Remove'.
