Hi:

Here's my dilima. On the main Windows messenger window under the "I
want to" part, the function "make a phone call" (the part where one
calls a telephone with Windows Messenger) disappearred yesterday.
I've tried system restore and uninstall/reinstall which both didn't
work to restore it. Luckily, I have a back up of it on my back ups
that I made last week before this problem occured. Could anybody tell
me which files I want to replace in order for the "make a phone call"
function reappear on my windows messenger? TIA.

Greetings Steve,

Which version are you using (click the Help menu, then About in Messenger). In Windows
Messenger 4.7.2005 and 4.7.2009 this feature was moved to MSN Messenger 5 (and above) only.
To have the function back, you'll have to use a previous version.

Whoa no wonder, I have Windows Messenger 4.7.2009. The account I make
my telephone calls from I usually keep on MSN messenger, and I
usually keep a different passport account on Windows Messenger. I was
worried that the Windows Messenger wasn't working correctly when I did
the update. Thanks.
