I've just installed "Office XP Pro." that has inherited the fault from "Word
2000". The fault is, that I cannot open a blank page because it always
opens with a previously typed item already in its memory that "Word" always
keeps. (the last one first) It is annoying, 'cause every time I open a new
page the it has to be cleared first! Anyone had this problem please? If
so, please let me know and I'll appreciate it. Lance.

This is probably because you have saved a file over the "normal.dot"
template. Try resaving a blank as the "normal.dot" template
