Hi I'm having a problem with messenger automatically
logging on when I sign onto my AOL account. I don't know
how to get it to stop. I've tried signing off full
before I shut down AOL then when I sign there it is my
Messenger telling me how many emails I have. Can someone
please help?
Thanks

Greetings Jennifer,
Messenger is "detecting" your internet connection, and therefore signing you in. You can
either fully close down Messenger (right-click its icon and choose Exit), or you can remove
your saved password:
Click Start, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel.
Select your account name, and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click
'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport)
entry and click 'Remove'.

Thanks so much for the help. I removed the stored
password. I'd rather type in my passwords for Passport
Services if I have to I think I only use one password for
all of it and thats all I need. Thanks so much.
