Hi,
I have been trying to update windows messenger 4.7 to the
newer version, but it will not complete the update
because it says messenger is still running, although it
is no longer in my taskbar and nothing else is open.
Even when I try to shut it down normally it won't because
it says another programme is using it, e.g internet
explorer etc. but everything is closed. It is now
driving me crazy, I have searched for a solution, and
cannot find anything. I even un-installed (following the
instructions from an earlier post) and re-installed the
newer version, but it still came back on as version 4.7.
Can anyone help please.
