Hubby has Windows XP - I.E. 6.0 on his computer; he uses
Windows Media Player 8. He mistakenly download the
Windows Update SP-2 and I believe it has caused him now
not hear any streaming of a web site. No radio stations -
I checked and he can see and hear video but no audio.

We have our two computers networked and it has worked fine.

I understanding that the SP-2 stops streaming - is there
any fix for this???? TIA and hope to hear in this regard.

Billie;
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall it.

But what was it?
There is no such thing as SP-2 as yet.

Perhaps you just need to reinstall the sound driver.

There can't be a fix to it as there is no SP2.

His version of I.E. 6.0 in Help/About is
6.0.2800.1106.XPSP2.021108.1929 - I will check out the
Add/Remove on his computer tomorrow.

That only means that you've installed an update that takes one certain file
to a post SP1 (read SP2) level.

To see what version of Windows XP you have, goto Start, Run and type
"winver" or goto the System Control Panel and look under the General Tab.
