View Full Version : Can I uninstall without UninstallShield?

I'm upgrading from Win 98 to XP. I'm trying to install the
new driver for a Linksys PCI card.
Problem: It won't let me install the new driver without
uninstalling the old one, BUT, it's not letting me
uninstall the old driver (says a file is missing and gives
me no further options).
Can I manually delete all associated files? If so, how?
Thanks in advance!!

You can try uninstalling the driver manually. Remove the device from
the Device Manager, then scan the Registry for references to the
device and delete them as well. Restart Windows, the device should be
re-detected and re-installed now.
