Hi,

If I hear you right, everything was fine until you tried
to update drivers? It sounds to me since the floppy is
affected that you may need to reboot and look at the bios
settings to see if they are correct. Have you been in the
case at all fooling with wires?

If not, then look in device manager to see if you have a
red "X" or yellow "!" next to the offending devices. You
might be able to rollback the drivers for the CD's and
the floppy disk, the driver from MS is "flpydisk.sys".

You should be able to update from the properties window
for the floppy drive, click update, the update Wiz should
find nothing better than the original driver. The two cd
drives should work the same way just let the Wiz look for
a better update on your system as recommended by the Wiz.
It should say it can't find a better one and prompt you
to keep the old one.

Cdrom.sys works both my cd and cd-rw drives and are
located in "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\cdrom.sys", so is
the floppy driver mentioned above.
