Greetings,

In order to send files through your router the router must either support built-in support
for Messenger (in which case forwarding the ports may allow you to send files, the ports
being 6891 through 6900 TCP) or support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). In order to make use
of UPnP enabled file transfer, you will also need to use MSN Messenger 5:
http://messenger.msn.com/download/download.asp?client=1.
A number of routers now support UPnP, you may just need a firmware update from your router
manufacturer to add support to your router.
