Win XP SP1 crashes my system

I download SP1 ane when the install is nearly done, I get
the "STOP" blue screen of death. To correct this, I have
to uninstall SP1.

How do I get SP1 to work? I have XP professional.

Hi Jason,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the SP1 installation. When finished,
there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the old
renamed one.
