I'm trying to make Messenger voice calls from behind a non-uPnP (Netopia
R910) NAT firewall without punching holes in it. Microsoft says no uPnP,
no laundly. But I've found a couple of possible solutions -- JDSoft's eNat
and Ridgeway's IPfreedom.
I tried IPfreedom, and got tantalizingly close to success. What I ran up
against was that, apparently, any two people who want to communicate must
use the same service SIP server service, and it apparently can't be
Microsoft's .NET Messenger Service.
Has anyone here used either of these products, and found a solution to this
issue?
BTW, anybody know what's up with Microsoft Portrait? Would it work?
