Does anyone with XP and TrendMicro's PC-Cillen anti-virus program have
a problem with slow start-up of PC-Cillen? After boot up it can take
up to 2 more minutes for the PC-Cillen banner to flicker on my screen
and the icon to appear in the notification tray. Wondered if there was
any way to fix this (apart from getting different virus program!)?
many thanks for any advice.

Hi

This can have been caused by the Q811493 update if it is installed...

Open Control Panel and go to "Add or Remote Programs". Uninstall Q811493 if it
is installed and see if it helps.

If you get a warning that other installs may stop working if you remove it,
just ignore it.

Thanks for reply, I checked in "Add/Remove programs" and the only
thing similar I have to above is: "Windows XP Hotfix (SP 1) (See
Q307969 for more info). Would that have anything to do with it?
many thanks. Denise

Sorry - have just discovered that above is a fix for my HP Scanner
being installed on a parallel port, so it couldn't be this. Any other
suggestions? Many thanks. DW
