Video - Voice will not work..

I recently installed a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Router
and then found that the video-voice feature of Messenger
4.7 no longer worked. So I disconnected the thing and
now I still cannot get this feature of Messenger to
work. I have turned off the firewall. What do I do to
get my Messenger to work as it did before I screwed up by
installing the router.

Get a firmware update for your router at
http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp

Linksys firmware versions 1.40 and later support Universal Plug and Play
(UPnP) and work with Windows Messenger version 4.6 +. Adding UPnP support
for your router should resolve your issue.

I did update the firmware. I no longer want to use the
router. It is disconnected. But Video - Voice still
will not work.
