I just purchased a web cam from radio shack. I have a
emachineT1840 and I don't know which port to plug it
into. Can I use this web cam when I have windows media
installed? If I can use this web cam exactly into what
port does it plug into. I do not know very much about
computers. Thank you. Ps. I have windows xp home addition.

Greetings Bonnie,
Most likely it's a USB webcam (most are), and will go into the USB port. Here's a picture:

(The USB ports are the square shaped ones).
In terms of Windows Messenger, after you plug it in, open up the main Messenger window, click
the Tools menu, then click Audio Tuning Wizard to go through the wizard to choose and test
your camera.
