Can anyone tell me how to remove windows messenger off my
computer, the pop ups are driving me nuts!! any help
would be great.

The popups are now from Windows Messenger, they are from the Messenger
Service. Disable it by doing the following : Click Start -> Control Panel ->
Administrative Tools -> Services -> Messenger -> Properties -> Disabled
(dropbox) -> Stop -> Ok.
You won't be plagued by any more popup messages from "Messenger Service"

Stuart,
You can't remove Windows Messenger from Add/Remove programs unless you've
changed the hidden program configuration. MSN Messenger is what you can
remove from the Add/Remove programs list.
