How the he-- do you remove Messenger? I used the
add/remove utilty but the task bar still has it and the
pop-ups are still going which tells me MS is still
gathering info on my system (no surprese there is there?).
Thanks

You must mean you removed MSN Messenger via Add/Remove and Windows Messenger
is still in the Start Menu. They are two different programs. If you
absolutely want to remove Windows Messenger, do the following:
Go to Start -> Run and type "RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
%windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove" and click Ok.

Hope this helps,
