View Full Version : Logon drop down list

When logging in to MSN Messenger (4.7) on Win XP Pro (or
home), there is a drop down list that shows previous
user's email addresses. This list shows up in other
places as well. Is there any way to edit this list, or
delete it? I have some obscene email addresses in the
list I would like to get rid of (THis is a public
computer). This list also shows up when logging into
network resources. Please email any responces, as I
doubt I will have a chance to check back on the newsgroup.
Thank you,
David

Greetings David,
You can remove Passports in the sign in list by clicking the Start Button, then click the
Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and
then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, you can remove accounts by clicking the passport you
wish to delete [denoted by (Passport)], and then click the 'Remove' button.

Since this is a public computer, you can stop this from happening by downloading and running
the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg
You'll need to reboot Windows to see the change.
