HELP !!!! Windows xp automatically reboots continuously.
My XP reboots continuously after cloning from an old hard disk.
I first of all dumped the clone onto drive C, but my program were used to
drive D on the old disk. Therefore many programs did not work correctly. I
then used partition magic to create a new partition and then installed
windows 98 on it. XP failed to boot at first, but I edited the registry
through anothe working XP PC and now I can boot into safe mode, But if I try
to restart normally, it just keeps on rebooting after typing my
administrator password and hearing the welcome music, it restarts again.
Can anyone help? This is tearing my hair out.
I have tried a reinstall and then choosing repair, but the problem persists.
I don't want to reformat and reinstall.
Thanks
Supo
