This could be my last message sent in this newsgroup. Who
knows, I was shocked when i found out, that even when
uPnP was enabled and it should work, it didn't.

So,.. i just need an confirmation from someone who would
tell me, Linksys router model BEFSX41 is working with
messenger (windows 4.7, 5.0 or msn 5.0, 6.0) for DIRECT
Voice and/or Video Conversations.

i will dig in for more information, i just need the
aprooval this specific model is working.

so, if you know anyone who has that model and managed to
get those things working, i would be really apretiated if
you give me your answer.

thanks and best regards,

Gregor

Yes I use linksys BEFW1S4 to connect to a friend with BEFSX41 windows
messenger 4.7.2009
Do you see the router icon in my network places?
Also in network connections do you see the internet Gateway icon?
If not I have found that without them linksys routers will not work
Go to control panel add or remove programs,
Windows components, networking services, click on details,
check to see if internet gateway device discovery and control client is
installed
you will need windowsXP service pack 1 installed to see this
also in the same place is universal plug and play installed

hope this helps you
