help please

I have wip xp home msn messenger,and also win messenger
Win messenger gives me the option for several people to
sing under differet names, but,msn messenger does not,I
tried all the suggestions on the help menu, but to no
avail the option to sign under a different name is not
there, can you help?

Greetings Cid,

Actually, they should be identical, unless you've put MSN Messenger 5 into compatibility
mode. To check, close down MSN Messenger (right-click icon in the notification area/system
tray and click Exit), then click Start, click Run, enter "%programfiles%\msn messenger" and
click OK. Then, right-click "msnmsgr" and click Properties. Then, click the compatibility
tab, uncheck the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and click OK. Then
go to Start, All Programs, and MSN Messenger 5.0 to restart it.
