MitsuBishiDiamond Pro 900u Monitor & NVidia GeForce Ti 4200 Monitor Buzzing
Proble

Hello, can anyone tell me why my monitor buzzes at a high pitch, (I think it
occurs mostly when a large part of the screen is white, when a window is
maximized for example)

& what can I do to fix it.

I've tried refresh rates of 70, 75, & 85 with same results

Refresh rates depend on Screen Resolution, Color Quality and Modes.
If you go to Control Panel and double click Display,
Settings tab and Advanced button,
Click Adapter tab and List all modes button,
It will tell you the Modes your adapter is capable of, depending on Color
Quality setting and the selected Resolution.

What are your settings?

1024 X 768 @ 32 bit color --- I'm not at the problem computer at the moment,
but can you clue me in on how the mode corelates to the refresh rate of the
monitor & will setting it to the correct refresh rate adjust my buzzing
monitor dilema.

& is it usually better to just leave the driver as general "plug & play" or
try to install exact drivers from manufacturer?

uhm,
thank you

Setting your monitor to the correct driver capability should stop any
buzzing or screwy monitor behavior, besides not cremating the circuit
boards.
(It has happened many times before, when the refresh rate is set too high.)
And your monitor life, will be greatly extended using the lower refresh
rates.
If the original Plug and Play settings are working, then leave them be.
XP tries to detect the correct rates, but not always.
The newer flat screen LCD monitors are particularly vulnerable.
