I understand that Outlook Express and Remote assistance
in XP use APIs that depend on Windows Messenger. If I
edit the registry to prevent Windows Messenger from
running at Startup this prevents Outlook Express from
using Windows Messenger. Would that be harmful to
Outlook Express? I want to prevent Windows Messenger 4.7
from opening when I open Outlook Express. Also, I want
to get MSN Messenger and use that service but keep
4.7.
