Hi,

This is very strange.

I have a standalone Windows XP Pro system, using a broadband connection.

Some of my programs have suddenly decided that they cannot detect an
internet connection in order to update.

What is going on?

I can browse as normal, and other internet-based procedures work.

The programs that currently fail are DAP, the XP Plus DME Dancer Updater,
and AVG Professional.

I have even rebooted the PC to no avail.

What can I try?

I don't know why OE6 just did that - sorry.

One more attempt at this.

I really do need some pointers as to why this connection problem may be
occurring.

Many thanks.

Not for wanting to re-quote the original post, but as requested...
