I have a cable connection behind a Linksys befsr41w router. UPNP enabled,
not using any firewall.
Every feature with 4.7 works perfect. But 5.0 has problems with voice/video,
appsharing/whiteboard.
I have tried opening ports to get some of these to work. I was able to get
appsharing and white board with port 1503 TCP open. 5004 - 65535, forget it.
My router has the most current firmware and will only let me put 5004 -
65534. Seems port 65535 is the last set of port numbers and is reserved.
{{{CANT BE OPENED}}} Putting my static IP in the DMZ will allow voice/video
to work but, then I loose the appsharing and whiteboard. Can't use DMZ and
port forwarding together.
So why the big difference with these two versions? And is there any magic
solutions to getting all the features in ver. 5 to work?
Thanks, Scott
