Just after an update of Win XP thru Microsoft my XP would
not boot up. Instead keep coming back to initial screen
and boot up choice, then I choose Win XP then keep coming
back to the same screen. Win ME boot up is OK.

First thing is try to bring XP up in safe mode then look in eventvwr.msc to
see why the system is rebooting itself. If it can't come up in safe mode,
then boot into "Last known good condition".
