Guy's,

I have used XP on several PC's (including laptops). All
of the PC's, at one time or another, suffer from a task
bar freeze.

I close an application or launch an application (or some
other action) and then I can't access anything on the
task bar for about 20 seconds to over a minute. after
this time the task bar bursts back into life and if i had
clicked on several things on the task bar (like quick
launch items or the Start button), they all launch away.

Given that I have experienced this phenomenon on several
PC's then it must be a regular thing for other users!

Does anybody know what causes this to happen?

Any suggestions for a cure would be gratefully welcomed.

Ta Much,

MArtin.

If y'all have GoBack installed, go to start-run-msconfig-services-and
uncheck GoBack Polling Service. Note that it is the services tab and
not the startup tab. hth
