My company has forms on our intranet that employees go to
fill out timesheets, procurement requests, etc. Our
timesheet is a spreadsheet file. With my Windows 2000 box
I can change the pay period field with no problems.
However, with my XP box it tells me that I can't because
the form is password protected. Does anyone know why
there's a difference between the two? The 2000 box has
Office 2000 and the XP box has Office XP.

Thanks.

You need to be logged on with XP with permissions and a
password to do some operations remotely.
Is there a server with all the files that your computers use
as clients? Perhaps the W2K machine has a permission by
group or user that has not been set on the XP machine.

Is the XP machine running XP Pro or Home...the home machine
doesn't use domains and that could be the problem.
