error messages

Is there any way to make the super-helpful error messages
that XP gives (system has recovered from a serious
error...) more explicit? Sometimes on startup I get that
message repeatedly--if I try to close it, it only pops
back in, but if I ignore it it doesn't seem to affect any
other programs.
