When I first sign in, I get a message from net messenger
that I have been signed elsewhere. What is that all about
and why?
Please provide a solution if you are familiar with the
problem.

Greetings Ron,
Is it possible that you have both Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger installed? If so, open
up whichever one you're not using, click the Tools menu, then Options, then Preferences tab
(General if you're using MSN Messenger 5), uncheck 'Run this program when Windows starts' (or
'Run Messenger when Windows starts' in MSN Messenger 5) and click OK. Then close down
whichever one you're not using.
If you're using MSN Messenger 5, but aren't seeing Windows Messenger, it's possible that
something else is starting it in the background. For example, if you have Norton Antivirus
2003 installed. If you do, open Norton Antivirus (Right-click on the Norton Antivirus icon
in the System Tray/Notification Area (by the clock), choose 'Open Norton Antivirus'), click
Options, then Instant Messenger then uncheck MSN Instant Messenger and click OK.
