Hello,
I have a little problem, a few days ago,
I got that stupid worm cmd32.exe through Kazaa.
I uninstalled Kazaa and tried to erase the cmd32.exe worm from my registry
editor section,
now everytime I startup the computer,
I recieve a message saying that windows can not start file, please find
correct file.
This is where I went wrong in trying to delete the worm: I ran regedit and
went into
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Win dows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
in the list for Winlogon, I went into name "Shell" type "REG_SZ" Data
"Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Explorer.exe"
where it says in the Data section, I removed the end part, where it said
"cmd32.exe" and typed in "explorer.exe", thinking this would solve my
problem.
I know I did that incorrectly now, but I really wanted to get rid of that
cmd32.exe worm! Please help in correcting this problem! Thanx!
