View Full Version : Window /messenger-Deleting old emails from login drop down

Hello everyone.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of(or not show)my email
account(s) when I first log into window messenger in the
drop down,(the window where you put your email addrress,
and password) as this is a shared computer, and don't
want people seeing my email addy. Also some I don't even
use anymore!
I also want it NOT to remember my password anymore as
well, how does a guy go about removing that as well.
Thanks!

Greetings Andrew,
You can remove Passports in the sign in list by clicking the Start Button, then click the
Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and
then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, you can remove accounts by clicking the passport you
wish to delete [denoted by (Passport)], and then click the 'Remove' button.
For more detailed instructions and screenshots on this procedure, see here:

You can stop this from happening by downloading and running the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg
You'll need to reboot Windows to see the change.
Note: if you do this (stop it from saving them), your automatic login in Messenger (if setup)
will no longer work.
