Help me please

I am trying to installing my camera software on my computer
(XP Home) and it will install, however no shortcut is
created. Anyone who can help? I have tried everything.

Did you install the just the drivers? If so you will need to open your photo
editing program or install one, go file, acquire image, select source
(camera) then go back to that menu and select acquire image.

If it is the photo program icon you are looking for check in c:\program
files\ for a folder with the name if the company or the name of the
software. Look for a program that ends in .exe (the .exe maybe hidden (The
extension not the file) if you have the option enabled.) double click on it
if it opens the program, right click on the file, create shortcut and move
it to the desktop. If it doesn't work move to the next likely file.
