TRYING TO INSTALL OFFICE 2000 ON XP HOME BUT KEEP GETTING
2755 ERROR. MICROSOFT SUPPORT SUGGEST CHANGING
PERMISSIONS BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ANY WAY TO DO THAT.

HELP!!!!!

First:



Open the directory to which Windows is installed.

On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.

On the View tab, click Show hidden files and folders.

Clear the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) check box.

Click OK.



Then:



Right click on the Installer folder under Windows (or WINNT)

Select Properties.

Click the Security tab.

Make sure the following permissions are set:



Everyone - Read (RX)

Administrators - FullControl

SYSTEM - FullControl
