second harddrive recognition

I have taken the 7 gig drive from my old computer and
made it a slave on my new xp machine so i can copy the
files over. all systems show its working but it doesn't
show up in explorer or mycomputer. help

Hi Jim,

Check your jumper settings. The main drive should be on the Primary Master
and the new Drive jumpered to the primary slave or the Secondary.

Also check bios, make sure it is configured for the hardware as you have it
installed.
