Doesn't turn on

I have been given a p2 400mhz pc and have put windows xp
on it, however after installing it and running it for a
couple of hours i turned it off and when i turned it back
on the machine power ups ok but the monitor just turns on
but doesn't show anything. how do i fix this?

Check to ensure that your RAM and Video card are in thier slots good and
tight.
