Hi ive just brought a cable/dsl router belkin 54g and for
some reason i cant use voice with windows messenger 4.7 i
have activated upap in the setting but have had no joy
when i try to connect to a freinds pc it just hangs there
saying connecting to persons pc for ages!

anyone help thx

Greetings Michelle,

I wasn't aware that the Belkin 54G had support for Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) -- where
exactly did you enable it? You need to enable it in the router, not Windows (although
enabling it in Windows won't do any harm).

As well, after you turn it on in the router, you'll need to reboot.

i dident till i was looking in the settings but i enabled
it and it still hangs saying connecting to persons pc i
read in another post that if i was using windows
messenger 4.7 upap would not work if i download msn
messenger 5 do you think this will sort out the problem?
the setting for the router is in the web based interface
in utilities
