task manager still not working

I went to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_t.htm and
followed the advice there as much as i could.

i found out that Yaha and Klez were on my computer and the
tool got rid of it but Task Manager still won't open. It
is in my system32 folder as 'taskman' and when i press
Ctrl+Alt+Del it won't open.

I have Home Edition. gpedit.msc does not open when i use
Run as suggested on the above site.

Any one know what is going on. The company i bought my
computer from (TIME) didn't supply the XP disk. Can i
download TaskManager from somewhere?

Anyone? Please?

Do you have a restoration disk? Your OS will be on that disk.
